With his design for our Tropical Collection, D.J. drew inspiration from his Filipino heritage, his love of surfing, and his favorite tropical location of Boracay in the Visayas region of the Philippines. In his words, D.J. explained "Not only is it a beautiful place, but being back home in the Philippines to reconnect with my family, heritage, and culture is always special."
Framed in perfectly surf-able waves, a tiger stalks through swaying palms toward the coast in a scene reminiscent of an ancient tropical world, unspoiled by human intrusion. Like much of his work, "Trapped In" bursts with vibrant color, bold lines, and D.J.'s unique aesthetic that expertly blends the worlds of surf, street, and hip hop style.
